How do I book an appointment?

Online through Semble. Pick a time, pay at booking, get a secure video link. Nothing to install.

How quickly can I be seen?

Same-day appointments are usually available, 6am to 10pm, seven days a week.

What are your opening hours?

6am to 10pm, seven days a week including bank holidays. We are not an emergency service.

Do you have a physical clinic I can visit?

No. We are fully remote by design, which is part of why a consultation costs £40 rather than £120.

Can I choose between video and telephone?

Video is the default because seeing you adds real clinical information. Telephone is available.

What do I need for my appointment?

Your medication list, any results, somewhere quiet — and two lines on what you want from the appointment.

How do I reschedule or cancel?

Rescheduling is free at any notice. Cancellations with 2 hours' notice are refunded in full.

Can I book on behalf of someone else?

Yes, with the right consent. Parents book for under-16s; adults must attend themselves.

Do I need to be registered with an NHS GP?

Not required — but keep your NHS registration. We cannot replace what it gives you.

How much does a consultation cost?

£40 for 20 minutes with a GMC-registered GP. Any prescription, letter or referral is included.

Are there any hidden fees?

None. Letters, fit notes, referrals and the prescription itself are all in the £40.

Why is a private prescription not free?

Writing it is included. The medicine is paid at your pharmacy — often less than the NHS charge.

Do I get my treatment plan in writing?

Yes - every consultation ends with your plan in writing, at no extra charge.

Do you accept private medical insurance?

Self-pay only. Avoiding insurer admin is part of what keeps the fee at £40. Check your cash plan.

When do I pay?

At booking, by card. That is what holds a specific 20-minute slot for you.

What if the GP cannot help with what I need?

If it is genuinely outside remote care, you are refunded in full and pointed to the right service.

Do you offer a subscription?

Membership from £15 a month with unlimited consultations. It pays for itself at about four a year.

How do I get my prescription?

Issued electronically during or just after your consultation, to the pharmacy you choose.

Do you deliver medication?

No. We are not a pharmacy and earn nothing from what we prescribe — deliberately.

Can I get any medication I ask for?

No. You are paying for a doctor's judgement, not a transaction. We explain any decision to decline.

Can you prescribe controlled drugs?

Never for Schedule 2 or 3 drugs. Benzodiazepines and z-drugs are never started remotely, with one rare exception: an emergency bridging supply.

Can you issue repeat prescriptions?

Yes, where ongoing private prescribing is appropriate — but never indefinitely without review.

Will my NHS GP know what I've been prescribed?

Only if you ask us to write to them. We would usually encourage it — split records are how things get missed.

How do blood tests work if you're remote?

We request the test; you attend a local partner lab or clinic. The interpretation comes back to us.

How long do blood test results take?

Most panels in 1 to 4 working days. Specialised genetic testing can take up to six weeks.

Who reviews my results?

A GP reads every result personally. Nothing is automated and nothing is signed off unread.

Can you arrange scans?

Ultrasound, X-ray, CT and MRI through private providers — and we will say when a scan is wrong.

Can you review results from another provider?

Yes. Having results you already hold properly interpreted is often worth more than buying more.

Do you offer home testing kits?

For some tests. Finger-prick sampling is fine for many markers and unreliable for others.

What can't be treated online?

Anything needing a physical examination, an unwell child, or an emergency. We say so early and refund.

What should I do in an emergency?

Call 999, or 111 for urgent advice. We are not an emergency service and never the right first call.

Are your doctors GMC-registered?

Yes, and on the GP Register. We publish the numbers so you can check them yourself.

Can you see children?

Any age, with a parent present. Any unwell baby needs seeing in person.

Can I have a consultation in another language?

Yes. Tell us when you book so an interpreter can be arranged rather than improvised on the day.

How do I get a sick note online?

Book, be assessed, and the note is issued within about ten minutes — included in the £40.

Can you refer me to a specialist?

Privately, yes, same day. Into NHS specialist care, no — only your NHS GP can do that.

Can I request a specific doctor?

Yes. You choose who you see and can keep going back to them — continuity is the point.

How is my data protected?

Encrypted, UK-hosted, and handled under UK GDPR. Nothing is sold and nothing is shared for marketing.

Who can see my medical records?

The clinicians involved in your care, and nobody else without your consent.

Can I get a copy of my records?

Yes, free and within a month under UK GDPR. You do not have to give a reason.

How do you verify my identity?

Photo ID checked against a selfie in the booking platform. Two minutes, once, and it protects you.

How do I delete my account?

Email us. Note that clinical records must be retained by law even after an account closes.

Are you regulated?

Doctors on the GMC register with a licence to practise, plus the regulation a UK provider requires.

Are you part of the NHS?

No. We are private and independent, and we cannot refer into NHS specialist care.

Who owns Cheshire Clinics?

Medhub LTD, doctor-owned. No private equity, no pharma funding, no consultation quotas.

How do I make a complaint?

Tell us directly first. We would rather hear it than have you leave without saying anything.

How do I contact you?

Where in the UK can you treat me?

Anywhere in England or Wales. We have no premises, so geography does not limit who we can see.

Can you prescribe stimulants for ADHD?

Never remotely. What we can do is exclude the mimics, arrange bloods and write the referral.

Do you prescribe weight loss injections?

Assessed carefully rather than supplied on request. We start with why the weight is where it is.

Can I use the service if I am pregnant?

Yes for general health problems. Antenatal care belongs with your midwife, and it is free.

Can I get a second opinion from you?

Yes. Bring the actual numbers, not "they said it was normal". Sometimes the first opinion was right.

Can you complete medicals and forms?

Letters yes, examination-based medicals no. Send us the form before booking and we will tell you.

Can you continue medication started elsewhere?

Often yes — but it is a prescribing decision, and we check the monitoring that should have happened.

How should I send photographs?

Uploaded securely before your appointment. Daylight, no flash, no beauty filter, something for scale.

Can I use you while away at university?

Yes, anywhere in England or Wales. Register with a local NHS practice too — in your first week, not when ill.

Can I use you while waiting for NHS treatment?

Yes, and it does not affect your place on the list. It also will not shorten the wait.

Can you treat a UTI online?

Straightforward urine infections in women assess well remotely. Men, children and pregnancy are treated differently.

Can you prescribe antibiotics?

Yes, where genuinely indicated — which is less often than people expect. Most coughs and sore throats are viral.

What can you actually tell from a photograph?

Skin conditions photograph well. Lumps, moles needing dermoscopy and anything requiring touch do not.

Can you help with menopause symptoms?

Yes — and in most women over 45 no blood test is needed to diagnose it or to start treatment.

Can you treat anxiety and depression online?

Yes for mild to moderate symptoms. Some situations need in-person or crisis care, and we will say so plainly.

Should I get this mole checked?

A changing mole needs examining in person with dermoscopy. A photograph cannot safely reassure you about one.

Is my chest infection bacterial or viral?

Most are viral. Green phlegm does not mean you need antibiotics, and the cough lasting weeks is normal.

Can you treat thrush and BV online?

Yes — but they are different conditions needing different treatment, and they are frequently mixed up.

What happens if my blood test is abnormal?

Slightly abnormal results are common and often harmless. The pattern and the trend matter more than one figure.

Why do I need a blood test for a repeat prescription?

Some medicines need blood monitoring to stay safe. Issuing repeats without it skips a genuine safety step.

Can you help with long COVID?

Yes, for assessment and excluding treatable causes. There is no cure, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Can you treat my child online?

Yes for many childhood problems — with a deliberately lower threshold for sending you to be seen in person.

Can you help with erectile dysfunction?

Yes — and the checks matter more than the tablet, because ED is frequently an early cardiovascular sign.

What does “treatable online” actually mean?

It means the history and photographs usually carry enough information. It never means examination does not matter.
