Our approach

Cheshire Clinics provides care to everyone without discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation, and treats the protected characteristics in the Equality Act 2010 as the minimum rather than the whole of what fairness means. We also do not treat people differently because of the language they speak, where they live, their immigration status or their ability to pay beyond the published price.

Language

• Dr Khan consults in English, Urdu and Punjabi.

• For any other language we book a professional interpreter through Language Line at no extra charge, including British Sign Language. Tell us the language you need when you book.

• Written summaries are in plain English and can be explained through the interpreter.

Disability and reasonable adjustments

We will make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people can use the service on equal terms: longer appointments, telephone rather than video, documents in large print or plain text, a carer or advocate present, and a consistent doctor. Our Accessibility Statement explains what the website does and where we are still improving.

Trans and non-binary patients

You will be addressed by the name and pronouns you give us, whatever your records elsewhere say. Screening and health advice is based on the body you have rather than on assumptions, and we will ask rather than guess.

Age

We see patients of all ages. Children under 16 are seen with a parent or guardian present; older patients are never assumed to be less able to use a video consultation, and telephone is always available.

Price and access

There is one price for everyone: £40 for twenty minutes, with any prescription, letter or referral included. Membership is optional. We do not charge more for evenings, weekends, bank holidays or interpreting.

Staff and clinicians

Doctors who work with Cheshire Clinics are recruited and treated on the basis of their qualifications, registration and approach to patients, and are expected to uphold this policy in every consultation.

Raising a concern

If you feel you have been treated unfairly, tell us. Email hello@cheshireclinics.com or use the Complaints Procedure; complaints about discrimination are investigated by a senior clinician and answered in writing.
