How this website and the Cheshire Clinics service work for people with disabilities, the adjustments we can make, and how to tell us when something is in the way.
Draft for review by Medhub LTD before publication. This statement follows the format recommended for UK service providers and should be re-checked after any significant design change.
Cheshire Clinics wants everyone to be able to use this website and our service, whatever their ability, device or connection. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we treat accessibility as part of clinical safety rather than a design extra: a patient who cannot read a results page cannot act on it.
• Every page can be navigated with a keyboard alone, and a "skip to main content" link appears when you press Tab on any page.
• Text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content, and the site works in portrait on phones without sideways scrolling.
• Headings, landmarks and link text are written so that screen readers announce a page in a sensible order.
• Images that carry information have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Colour is never the only way information is shown, and body text meets the recommended contrast ratio.
• Moving content, including the scrolling review cards on the home page, pauses on hover and is switched off entirely if your device is set to "reduce motion".
• Forms have labels that stay visible while you type, and error messages that say what to fix.
• Some third-party content, including the video consultation platform and the booking system, is provided by our suppliers and may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We raise accessibility with every supplier we use.
• A small number of PDF letters generated by our clinical system may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you receive a document you cannot read, tell us and we will provide it in another format.
• Consultations in English, Urdu and Punjabi, and in almost any other language through a professional interpreter at no extra charge. British Sign Language interpreting can be arranged through Language Line; please give us one working day's notice where you can.
• Telephone consultations for anyone who cannot use video.
• Written summaries after every consultation, which can be provided in large print or as plain text on request.
• Extra time, a familiar carer or advocate present, and a consistent doctor for people who need it.
Email hello@cheshireclinics.com or call 0330 113 1874 and describe the page and the problem. We aim to respond within five working days and to fix genuine barriers quickly. If you are not satisfied with our response, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can advise you on your rights under the Equality Act 2010.
This statement was prepared on 20 September 2026. Before launch, and whenever the site changes materially, Medhub LTD assesses the pages patients use most with automated checks and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, and updates this statement with anything found. It is reviewed at least once a year.
