If it becomes clear at the start of your consultation that your problem is genuinely outside what we can do remotely — something requiring hands-on examination, or care that belongs in an urgent or specialist setting — the doctor will tell you straight away, point you to the right service, and refund your fee in full.
We would rather do that than fill twenty minutes to justify the charge.
What is not a refund situation is a consultation where the doctor has assessed you properly and concluded that the treatment you were hoping for is not clinically appropriate. That is a real medical opinion, arrived at after a proper assessment, and it is what you came for — even when it is not the answer you wanted. We will always explain the reasoning and what the alternatives are.
